Photo Exhibition “Svidomi”
Our gallery is currently hosting an exhibition of the documentary cultural project “Svidomі”, created by photographer Mykola Kozlov and volunteer Natalia Buriak.
“Svidomi” is a project about the people who are shaping the contemporary history of Ukraine. Through documentary photography and personal stories, the authors tell the stories of soldiers, volunteers, medics, artists and public figures — people who change the country every day through their work, sense of responsibility and humanity.
Behind every photograph there is not only an image, but a living story. These are stories of struggle, service, loss, hope and strength, born from the authors’ personal encounters with the people featured in the project in different parts of Ukraine.
Project author Mykola Kozlov has worked in documentary photography for many years, capturing events and people who are shaping Ukraine’s recent history. Project co-author Natalia Buriak is a volunteer who, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, has coordinated assistance to Ukrainian military personnel and civilians. The combination of documentary photography and first-hand volunteer experience became the foundation of “Svidomi”.
During the presentation, the authors will talk about how the project was created, share the stories of the people featured in it, and meet with visitors.
“Svidomі” is not an exhibition about war. It is an exhibition about people. About those who, despite all the challenges, remain Human.
We invite residents and guests of Ivano-Frankivsk to visit the exhibition.
