Exhibition of art ceramics by Vasyl Pereginets

An exhibition of the famous master of art ceramics, Vasyl Pereginets, has opened in our gallery. The presented 26 ceramic paintings are very different in terms of their subjects. There are religious motifs, Ukrainian folk folklore, and landscape themes. The works attract attention with delicate execution and interesting details that turn each of the works into a small story.

The author's latest works are related to what worries every Ukrainian the most - the war with a cruel aggressor. Paintings "Eyes of war. Disquiet" and "Eyes of war. Mariupol" impress us with subtle psychologism and deep content.

The materials used to create the works are ceramic tiles, fireclay, cobalt, metal oxides, colored glaze. As the author noted, none of these works can be exactly repeated, because the shades may differ each time.

Vasyl Pereginets was born on May 12, 1966. He studied at the Kosiv Technical School of Folk Art Crafts, later at the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (now the Lviv National Academy of Arts). He works as a teacher at the Kosiv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, heads the department of monumental and decorative painting, supervises students' diploma theses, teaches professional disciplines.

His painting and ceramic works have been repeatedly exhibited at personal and collective exhibitions, and are also kept in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

 Welcome to the exhibition!
