Photo exhibition "Knock, please!"

An exhibition of Iryna Mykytyuk's photo works opened in our gallery today. The author was born on February 4, 1972 in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. She graduated from secondary school No. 18, after which she entered the Ivano-Frankivsk University named after Vasyl Stefanyk to the Faculty of Pedagogy, majoring in "Teacher of Junior Students with Music". After graduating from the university, she worked in various teaching positions in schools and universities of the city. Before the full-scale invasion of Russia, she worked as a methodologist in artistic sciences in the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.

From an early age, Mrs. Iryna was fond of music and other forms of art. She is a valid member of the Ukrainian scout organization "Plast". She is married and has two children - son Zakhar and daughter Solomiya. She currently lives in Krakow, where she teaches, and also conducts tours in the salt mines of Wieliczka.

Interested in travel, art, and antiques. She started taking pictures of doorknobs and hammers while abroad. And this fascination led her to the idea of compiling all this into a collection and making an exhibition of her works, dedicating it to Ukrainians abroad, primarily to women!

Our people - all over the world... With the beginning of a full-scale war, Ukrainians travelled to different countries. They knock on doors, open them - to different cultures and traditions. They learn the difficulties and joys of a new life behind new doors.

Sometimes the door was easy to open, sometimes heavy, or even remained closed.

Knock and it will be opened to you. It is about life, in its various ideas and manifestations. Pain and happiness. Losses and gains.

Doorknobs and hammers invite you to open the door of the soul.

Welcome to the exhibition!
